WHO YOU’RE WORKING WITH
Kimberlyn Peal, Director of Property Acquisition and Management.
Kimberlyn Peal is a licensed realtor and will help you find a great home. In 2009, she began her teaching journey by way of Teach for America Baltimore and received her Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. Seeking to broaden her impact, Kimberlyn decided to leave the classroom and pursue education administration. Kim is inspired by grassroots reform movements, as well as the writings and intellectual prowess of fearless Black women scholars such as Toni Morrison, Kimberle Crenshaw bell hooks, and Gloria Ladson-Billings.
Kendra Gray, Director of Partnerships and Client Relations.
Kendra Gray is an education professional, from Bowie, Maryland. A graduate from Clark Atlanta University in 2009, she began her career journey as a Teach For America Baltimore corps member, teaching secondary English in Baltimore City. After receiving her Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University she wanted to expand her impact globally, and decided to teach abroad for five years in Abu Dhabi, returning her talents back to Baltimore’s teachers and students in 2017. She’s inspired by the opportunities to impact students through their teachers, Shawn Carter lyrics, traveling, truffle flavored anything and dope sneakers.
Japera Parker, Director of Operations and Brand Strategy.
Japera Parker began her career in journalism and public relations but quickly switched to urban education in 2009. For the past 10 years she has been in the classroom and out of it, guiding new practitioners to be effective for students in Baltimore, Hartford, and Boston via Urban Teachers and Teach For America. By night, she continues her studies at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, with an emphasis in Business law. Japera is inspired by business mavens such as Tyler Perry who work to ‘build their own table, instead of asking for a seat at someone else's.’
